About Tom Sell
Tom Sell — Conservative Leader, West Texas Businessman, and Champion for Rural America

Tom Sell is a fifth-generation West Texan, conservative leader, and small business owner who has dedicated his life to faith, family, and service to his community. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Tom earned both a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and a law degree before building a career devoted to advancing the values and interests of West Texas.
After college, Tom went to work for Congressman Larry Combest (R-TX19), serving as his right-hand man when Combest chaired the U.S. House Agriculture Committee. During that time, Tom played a key role in advancing major legislation that strengthened America’s farmers, ranchers, and rural communities—including the 2002 Farm Bill and the landmark Crop Insurance Reform Act of 2000.
Following his time in Washington, Tom returned home to Lubbock and co-founded a local business with former Congressman Combest. Together, they built a respected firm from the ground up that continues to champion the interests of West Texas producers, families, and communities across the southern High Plains and beyond.
A devoted husband and father, Tom and his wife Kyla—his college sweetheart—have raised their four children in Lubbock. Their oldest son proudly serves as an officer in the United States Army, while their three younger children are currently attending college. Deeply rooted in faith and family, Tom and Kyla remain active in their church, community, and alma mater. They regularly mentor students at Texas Tech’s Davis College of Agriculture and live by the university’s motto: “From here, it’s possible.”
Tom’s life and career reflect his unwavering belief in the values that define West Texas—faith in God, love of country, hard work, and personal responsibility. Motivated by gratitude and a sense of duty, Tom is running for Congress to defend those values, restore integrity in Washington, and ensure America remains the “Shining City on a Hill” envisioned by President Reagan.

God Bless America
