Lubbock, TX — The campaign for Tom Sell today announced major momentum in the race for Texas’ 19th Congressional District, highlighted by a new poll showing Sell in the lead, a continued strong fundraising pace, and a growing list of key endorsements.

The survey of 400 likely voters in the 2026 Republican primary shows Tom Sell has significantly increased his ballot score 3-fold from 8% to 28% in just six weeks.

These gains are coming from the party’s base in the district with the biggest gains coming from the extremely conservative (+26%), very conservative (+24%), Trump Republicans (+23%), and Christian conservatives (+22%).

“This momentum is a clear sign that the people of West Texas want leadership that will stand up for our values and put America First,” said Sell. “From securing the border to protecting our energy industry and fighting for agriculture, voters are responding to our message and joining our campaign in record numbers because they know I stand with President Trump.”

Fundraising Momentum

The campaign also filed its required “pre-primary” report showing that it raised $448,650 between January 1st and February 12th, 2026. That brings the campaign's total raised to $1,204,126 for the cycle, a huge sum for a first time candidate. The campaign also reported $733,100 Cash on Hand as it plans to increase its spending on all platforms as early voting gets under way.

“Our fundraising success proves that this campaign is powered by the people of West Texas,” Sell added. “We’re building the resources needed to win this race and take our fight to Washington.”

Sell’s momentum is further underscored by a growing coalition of respected leaders and organizations rallying behind his campaign.
